Alda Hotel Reykjavik - Reykjavík

Central Reykjavik hotel with complimentary smartphone and on-site barber shop

Amenities

Alda Hotel Reykjavik provides each guest with a complimentary Android smartphone for local calls and 4G data during their stay. The hotel houses an on-site barber shop staffed by award-winning barbers, located off the lobby. Guests also have free access to the fitness center, sauna, and outdoor hot tub, plus a water filling station offering chilled still and carbonated water.

Rooms

Alda Hotel rooms include king or queen beds, and some deluxe rooms open onto a shared balcony with city or sea views. Bathrooms are stocked with L'Occitane toiletries and feature heated floors; upper-floor rooms offer mountain and water views. Despite its central location, rooms are quiet, and higher floors cut down street noise.

Location

Hotel Alda sits directly on Laugavegur, Reykjavik's main shopping street, with Hallgrimskirkja Church a 5-minute walk away. Bus Stop 9, used by tour operators and the Flybus airport transfer, is two blocks from the hotel. The Reykjavik Art Museum and Lake Tjörnin are each within a 10- to 15-minute walk.

Dining

The on-site Brass Kitchen & Bar serves a diverse menu and offers a daily Happy Hour with discounted drinks. A Starbucks is attached to the lobby, and guests with a room key receive a discount there. Breakfast includes local food items and healthy options, with hot and cold dishes available in a buffet format.

Wellness

The fitness center at Alda Hotel Reykjavik contains a treadmill, elliptical, exercise cycle, and free weights. Guests can use the indoor sauna (fits up to 2 people) and an outdoor hot tub with geothermal water. Towels are provided for both the sauna and hot tub, and the gym is open 24 hours.
